HIGH-SPEED


A high-speed camera is a device capable of capturing moving images with exposures of less than 1/1,000 second or frame rates in excess of 250 fps. The camera records data used for recording fast-moving objects as photographic images onto a storage medium. After recording, the images stored on the medium can be played back in slow motion.

Motion analysis is used in computer visionimage processinghigh-speed photography and machine vision that studies methods and applications in which two or more consecutive images from an image sequences are processed to produce information based on the apparent motion in the images.

HIGH-DEFINITION


High-definition video (HD video) is video of higher resolution and quality than standard-definition. While there is no standardized meaning for high-definition, generally any video image with considerably more than 480 vertical scan lines (North America) or 576 vertical lines (Europe) is considered high-definition.
